Grapeleaf skeletonizer moth caterpillar (Harrisina americana), #4624

Reveler Conservation Area

This is not a full-grown caterpillar, but is much bigger than others on the wild grapes nearby. There were two clusters of many tiny caterpillars, and this one out on a limb, so to speak, was bigger than any of the others. Ahhh, the bane of my childhood. We had lots of grapevines around the house pesticides weren't really used because we ate the grapes. So one of my jobs was to remove the masses of those little buggers.
