What looks like a long tongue on the wasp, is really the antennae of a tree cricket. These small wasps prey on tree crickets, which this one has here. They paralyze the poor things, then stock their nests with several living but paralyzed tree crickets for their larvae to feed on. I watched this one bring at least three back to the nest. It was difficult to get a clear shot as the wasp was really active.
