Burdock borer moth caterpillar (Papaipema cataphracta), #9466

Larose Forest

Thanks to Bug Guide for the identification to Genus of this small caterpillar; there is a possibility it may be Papaipema cataphracta, the Burdock Borer. According to their website, the "Caterpillars bore into the roots, rhizomes, and stems of herbaceous plants; rarely seen." So, I was lucky to see this one.
