A male kestrel at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden. For many years, the kestrels nested in a large kestrel nest box high on the old barn at the garden. They were as regular as clockwork, returning in early spring, setting up home soon after, always readily found, and then one year they stopped coming. We saw them again in 2013, but they didn't nest, as far as I know anyway. Haven't seen them there since.
