Yellow shouldered slug moth (Lithacodes fasciola), #4665

Reveler Conservation Area

Walking down a very wet trail early this morning (the area had quite a drenching, while here in Ottawa we had no rain at all, sadly), I was delighted to see this exquisite small moth. I had seen the unusual caterpillars in the area last autumn, and hoped I might see a moth, and today I did. The moth is inset in the photo so you can see what it looks like. The moth has a face that to me, looks like a bat.
