This was rather a cool find. The Ctenucha moth caterpillars find a leaf and then methodically begin shedding their hair to make their cocoon. YOu can see that this one has already built the 'sides' of the cocoon (arrows are pointing to this) and affixed the hairs along the edge of the leaf. Soon, this caterpillar will be entirely wrapped in a yellow hairy cocoon.
