Striped garden caterpillar (Trichordestra legitima), #10304

K&P trail, Lanark County

Feeding on yarrow flowers, this caterpillar has a number of tachinid fly eggs on its head. If you've ever wondered what a caterpillar's eyes look like, you can see them in this shot. They are the cluster of tiny red dots just below the white eggs.
