Hag moth caterpillar (Phobetron pithecium), #4677

Reveler Conservation Area

Went back to see if this caterpillar could be found again, and luckily it was still in the same general area. It was very active, moving constantly. It had also almost doubled in size.

Goodness, this is a really strange form of caterpillar. What a great shot....it looks, at first glance, more like an equally strange bunny rabbit!
