Rose hooktip caterpillar (Oreta rosea), #6255

At first, I passed off this caterpillar as just a curled brown tip of the leaf, but then on second glance saw it was a critter. It is, however, resting right next to a dead bit of leaf... great camouflage. This is a very early instar. They do get bigger than this. The adult (moth) is a very pretty pink colour. The head of this critter is on the left.

On dirait plutôt un petit bout de bois. Cette chenille à l'art du camouflage.
