The adult of this tiny treehopper (about 8mm) is the brown one on the left. The nymph is green and brown and very spiky. Both are attended by ants as so many treehoppers are. In fact, the adult has an ant sprawled down its entire length (which gives an idea of how small they are) and the ant clung there for the entire time I was sitting watching. Once again, this is an example of a mutually beneficial relationship... the ants get the sweet honeydew secreted by the hoppers, and they protect the bugs in return.
