Orange hawkweed (Hieracium aurantiacum)

Reveler Conservation Area

This is a beautiful flower, and it can carpet fields and roadsides with a blaze of orange. Unfortunately, it is also a non-native species which can aggressively colonize areas where native plants should grow. It is listed as a noxious weed in many provinces. This plant will be familiar to those in Europe where it is native.

Well, it's a beautiful flower and capture of it. I like how it's almost glowing against the background. V.

the tips of the petals do remind of a hawks wings...too bad it takes over, as it has fabulous colours..
