Half-Wing moth caterpillar ( Phigalia titea), #6658

Reveler Conservation Area

Those white shiny bumps are cocoons of probably a Braconid wasp. These wasps (and there are numerous species of them) parasitize many species of caterpillar which in turn will suffer an unpleasant end.

Fascinating, although I feel sorry for the caterpillar. Excellent detail, too, in this instructive capture. V.
