Canadian tiger swallowtail larva (Papilio canadensis)

Reveler Conservation Area

A relatively early instar caterpillar of the beautiful tiger swallowtail butterfly. When they are ready to pupate, they turn brown as in the next photo. The false eyes are pretty convincing!
