Black and yellow argiope, female (Argiope aurantia)

Several of these large orb weaver spiders hanging along a fenceline on a farm. This one was particularly huge!

I used to photograph some of these Garden Spiders every year but, I did not see any this year... I just love the way they build their web with z type reinforcement

OH!! My favorite garden spider! I didn't see one this season. She looks ripe for laying an egg sac and then sadly will die. Super capture. VVV
