Panellus stipticus

Conroy Pit dog park. Found a number of these very small mushrooms on logs on the forest floor. These mushrooms are bioluminescent, emitting a greenish glow at night. This only occurs when they are fresh or when they are plumped up by rain as here. They dry out between rainfalls and emit no light.

'stipticus' that is....keyboard dyslexia strikes again..

a tad nacho-like, so a jalapeno sauce could explain the green...looking at the formal name though, 'sitpticus' in particular, it may have blood-clotting uses..

That is fascinating, Christine! I have never heard of that but would love to see it! I wonder if you have ever tried to photograph one at night. V
