You know autumn is coming when the squirrels start hoarding and hiding their food to tide them over the winter. This one has an acorn in its mouth. These squirrels (black and gray are the same species, just different colour forms or phases) store their food by scatter-hoarding, burying one bit here, one there, as opposed to red squirrels who create large caches of a food source.
