Ochre dagger moth caterpillar (Acronicta morula),#9236

Larose Forest

This pretty caterpillar sitting in its fine webbing on an elm leaf, is the penultimate instar of the caterpillar. The final instar looks very, very different, being shades of black and brown with some paler markings, and much hairier.
