Star-bellied orbweaver (Acanthepeira stellata), female

Burnt Lands Provincial Park

An interesting knobby spider about 12 mm across. Like other orbweaving spiders they sit in or on the edge of their web and wait for prey to become stuck.

I feel that would bother me if it came creeping over! Nonetheless it's fascinating.
