Golden tortoise beetle (Charidotella sexpunctata)

Larose Forest. Although this beetle is sitting on a goldenrod stem, it is usually found on plants in the morning glory family. Alongside this particular trail in the forest, there were a few morning glory plants, and at least 15 mottled tortoise beetles were found, and one of this species. It is typically a very metallic golden colour, but when disturbed, turns red.
