These photos were taken in early July, height of nesting season here. All these birds were in the old field habitat. The common yellowthroat male was very vocal as he had a nest nearby. The wren came in to join the chorus, because it also had a nest nearby. The song sparrow is carrying caterpillars back to its nest. I was able to take these photos from a trail, over a minute or two. I dislike lingering long in these situations because the birds are stressed enough having to care for young, without worrying about intruders like humans.
