Found in Larose Forest. This is a young one. The mature adults are much larger and with a more cryptic pattern, often gray, though they can change colour to a greenish hue when needed. I have seen dozens of these little guys over the years, almost always found unexpectedly when not looking for them. This one was resting on a milkweed leaf, but when I stopped he hopped to the side as here, then jumped further back into the dense vegetation near a wetland.
