Orange jelly fungus (Dacrymyces palmatus)

Amidst the greys and browns in the woods, this little hit of orange jelly caught my eye. It is very common and can range from tiny orange blobs to larger specimens like this, which was perhaps 8 mm in size.

We used to see a lot of this but not recently, a very dry summer has resulted in few fungi this year. Love this one, well seen!
