Slime mould (Lycogala epidendrum)

The dark slime mould in the lower left is a riper (more mature) version of the pink ones which are new. The orange blobs are, I think, the beginnings of more moulds. Photographed at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden.

This actually looks pretty with the round shapes and colors. They look ready to explode. Somehow slime mold does not make me think of anything that looks like this. Great close up. V.
