Treehopper nymph (Enchenopa)

Shirleys Bay area

This tiny (a couple of mm) spiky little thing is the nymph of a neat looking treehopper. A few days later, in another location (this was in the Shirleys Bay greenbelt area), I found newly emerged adults sitting on their now discarded exuviae.

Another great find. They do come in the most unusual shapes.

I don't know how you get such great detail from creatures this tiny. I wouldn't even see them. Fabulous close up. V.

WOW! Christine, I don't know how you manage to find all these intricate little subjects. Nice sharp image accompanied and again by a good description.
