This is a gorgeous slender snake, entirely harmless. It looks almost too exotic with its bright green colour, for our northern area. But the colour provides camouflage because it vanishes almost completely when in green vegetation. It is more common than thought but it is hard to find and since it is also arboreal, this adds to the difficulty. However, sheer luck has meant that I have found it frequently in this forest.
