Common angle moth (Macaria aemulataria) #6326

Larose Forest

This Geometrid moth used to be called Semiothisa aemulataria. It is a small moth, about 22 mm wingspan, and the larvae (caterpillars) apparently feed only on maple leaves.

This is a terrific, detailed shot. That's another thing I miss in the winter time....discovering new moths in my garden (and elsewhere). V
