American robin

About to take off from this ornamental crabapple tree, which had been mostly stripped of fruit save for a few clusters such as this. This robin was one of about 15 and they seemed relieved at the warmer temperatures. Yesterday it was -18 and overcast, today -6 and sunny. What a difference!

A beautifully composed and presented image. They look so different to our robins.

Great shot, and I know this because I tried to get some Blue Jays today...Not easy. Just starting flight with those wings high presents a marvelous image of little red breast

Terrific shot of this Robin taking flight and the framing enhances the image quite well. I can relate to the warmer temperature and associated relief, ;) V
