This is likely the snakeskin liverwort, Conocephalum. However, mosses and liverworts (bryophytes) are tough to ID accurately unless one is a Bryologist.
looks a bit spongey and flows like lava creating a sort of mini-landscape...bryologist, now there's a title with resonance..
