Halloween pennant (Celithemis eponina)

Took a trip to the Morris Island Conservation Area along the Ottawa River and found a number of these pretty dragonflies flying. Not much else, except for scores of widow skimmers and, along the wooded trails, powdered dancers (a damselfly!).

Beautiful capture. I was there Saturday and saw none. However, I did have a couple of Black-shouldered Spinylegs to help make up for it. V
