Found in Rockcliffe Park this morning. There is nothing more golden and beautiful than this species when they are fresh. In time, they lose that golden hue and become a washed out brown. It is perched on the unopened flower of Goat's-beard.
This is the one we have in common. Maybe you noticed that the spots on the end of the wings look a little bit smeared out. This is a special form called Praenubila. This one is just visible, but some have fantastic great spots. I will post one I found yesterday.
