Confused Haploa, caterpillar and moth (Haploa confusa), #8112

Found at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden, where they are relatively common, the caterpillars especially, in early spring. The name of this moth derives from the very variable appearance of the moth (not the caterpillar), which is confusing to those of us trying to identify them!

Excellent life history perspective; the unimaginable contrast between caterpillar and adult.

Wonderful, Christine. The attention to detail and composition here are very fine. V
