Coral fungus, possibly a Ramaria species

There was a lot of coral fungus in this west end woodlot. This was a particularly interesting cluster. It looks a bit like yellow broccoli to me. I have to agree with Johan though, that it also looks more like a sponge!!

Cool fuzzy fungus! V :^) This sort of reminds me of the artillery fungus that we used to get when we bought mulch in bulk. Since we only buy it buy the bag now, no more artillery fungus for us!
