Isabella Tiger Moth: caterpillar (Woolly Bear) and adult (Pyrrharctia isabella)

I combined two photographs to show what the well-known Woolly Bear Caterpillar turns into! Most don't notice the rather drab adult called the Isabella Tiger Moth.

This is so cool. I always wondered what they looked like in the next stage of their life. Thanks for sharing. ~V~

Great photographs, love the before and after or is it after and before...which comes first the chicken or the egg...the caterpillar or the moth? Love it! V

The transition from flamboyant youth to middle age :) A wonderful, demonstrative combination of excellent shots. BV

I didn't know that is what it looked like. I thought the adult would be orange and black too. Thanks!
