Garden cross orb weaver (Araneus diadematus), female

This well named spider was indeed in my garden! In fact, there were two of them waiting for supper to bumble along into their webs. They are just gorgeous spiders, I think anyway!

I agree....I think I had some babies in my yard earlier this season but they have all disappeared. I was looking forward to photographing them once they got nice and big! V

I saw one of those today but couldn't shoot it. Was in the middle of an engagement shoot. Wow, you can even see all those hairs on his legs! Totally rocks!
