There aren't many of these left anymore. This one is by Larose Forest Headquarters in the forest. There used to be at least one or two more, but they were long ago taken down. I hope this one remains. Makes me think of Jack Kerouac's novel "Dharma Bums", in which the main character held a seasonal job looking for forest fires from high atop one of these.
