Mouse, probably White-footed Mouse

I was cleaning out nest boxes at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden and discovered that one had a cosy mouse nest with five very cute mice in it. I left them alone in their winter nest.

The wire you can see just beneath the mouse's paw is not a trap (!), it is the wire that attaches the bird box to the post.

Awwww...I love mice!! He reminds me of the children's hamster (only with a tail of course!) Lovely shot, you did well to get him to stay long enough to photograph!
