Band-winged meadowhawk (Sympetrum semicinctum)

Pakenham area. There were several of these small dragonflies flying around a Hydro right-of-way. They are regarded as uncommon in this area.

Gorgeous shot of this beautiful dragon. Is it me or have they been quite common this summer? I'm seeing them almost everywhere!
