Cardinal flower (Lobelia cardinalis)

Clyde Forks, Lanark County. I love these brilliant red flowers. They look so exotic, yet are native to this part of the world. This photo does them no justice for in life they are a bright velvety red that stands out against the green landscape like a beacon!

That photo does them justice, it is probably the best photo of cardinal's that I have seen, great shooting. Very difficult to capture, well done.

A lovely plant, well captured, and it is like a beacon, not only for flower, but foliage. v
