Common raven

Nortel Woods. There was a family of five ravens hanging around the site the entire time I was there. It was great fun to watch them because ravens are remarkably clever and interesting birds.

Thanks so much, Kenty! I too love ravens, and was pretty happy to finally get some photos of one of my favourite birds!

A stunning portrait. I just can't seem to get close enough to these guys, and I think one does have to see them close up to really appreciate them. V

I am so glad you admire these birds, for they are so maligned. The first thing I set out to photograph was the great crow who nests across the street, and I am still trying. An excellent portrait which reflects his spirit. V I think they have a comical aspect , don't you?
