Riverdale Presbyterian Church

I had the wrong lens. was too close, then too far, and then the grass was in the way, but I wanted to catch the bright red door against the stones of the church.
This church is one of NY's Designated Landmarks.
it was designed by James Renwick, St. Patrick Cathedral's architect.

We past this church on the bus, didn't we? The door looked familiar.

The key is to use whatever lens is at hand
in the best possible way.
I currently use a 50mm lens (digital) for nearly
every shot. Certainly takes some getting used to
but it makes your mind think differently
in some situations.
I think I'd concentrate on that door...

That red door certainly sets off the stonework. Nice work, Lara.
