Blizzard of 2005

IT NEVER FAILS!
Every single year around my birthday, New York is hit by a major snow storm. And why is it that it always happens ON THE DAY I PICK for my party? It's a curse, I tell you.
Why didn't I pick the previous week? cos well if I had, the blizzard would have arrived a week earlier.
This shot was taken at the beginnig of the storm around 1:30pm. It hasn't stopped since, and won't until noon tomorrow. In fact we are expecting 2 feet of snow. I hope to be able to take photos tomorrow, but I unfortunately threw out my back (What else can I handle?) a couple of days ago. On the day of my birthday to be exact. Thursday the 20th. So have been spending the weekend on my back with the remote in my hand. Am I feeling sorry for myself? Well a little, but I have a date with Clive Owen and "Second Sight" Yummmmy.
Happy 37th birthday to me.

I was wondering how the storm looked from your perspective. Sorry it's crappy. I love snow, and would think a blizzard on my birthday would be awesome. (I don't celebrate it, so no parties to cancel.) Happy birthday!

Congratulations on becoming 29 and 8 years! And Linda is right, you know:)
If its not your foot, its your back ~ but I hope you'll soon start springing in all directions.
