Corner of 57th Stree and Park Avenue

New York City is on high alert today. Something is wrong with this. The US should be a safe world, that's why my family moved here. What an messed up world we are growing up in.

Very cool depiction of your world inside out. Since 9/11/01 we have to consider major financial institutions, densely populated areas and buildings and public transport (as well as power plants, dams, and chemical plants, and busy ports) always under potential terrorist attack. That the information about this "one" is three to four years old suggests the "threat" was made public in dramatic language to bury further thought and debate on the Democratic convention, more than that it is actually an immediate, like any moment now, threat. How long are they going to keep those streets closed and check every truck coming into the city? Long enough to forget the previous weeks news stories...This doesn't mean those buildings are no longer "targets" just that their imminent danger is not known any better now than last month and that quieter, calmer methods could have been employed to boost their security. But scare tactics is how Bush plans to win in November.

A "negative" image of a negative world. Creative!

I can't really talk because I live up in the mountains, far away from any targets, but try not to give in to the fear.
