I am Woman

I am Woman

I am Flesh therefore I bleed
I am Spirit therefore I heal

I am PROUD of my curves
I am humble with my words

My strength comes from within
I am Mother. Daughter. Sister. Friend.

Your Lover, Your Soul Mate
Your Wife and your best friend

I come from the moutains of Canada to the hills of England
I am a California Girl and a British story teller
I am a Southern Belle and a Virginian Pete
A Middle Eastern New Yorker.
A dog lover and a romantic fool.

Dalmatians are my life
Cats run my household

Single looking for love
Loved, yet independent

My pictures come from my heart and my soul
Whether with my digital camera in Alabama
or my picture cell phone in Hong Kong

I am a photographer

I am an artist

I am Woman.

Hi Lara,

I'll add my voice to the chorus that I find this piece really good. I just love when pictures comunicate feelings. By combining this self portrait with your poem, you are giving us an insight on who your are and it makes it so much more meaningful. Thanks for sharing it.

Lara, Your photo and poem are absolutly amazing as are you!
You need to have this published in a magazine. Seriously.
More real woman need to be in these magazines expressing their
true beauty. Enough with this airbrushing and fake plastic sugery stuff.
It makes me sick and sad for humanity that people actually buy into that stuff.
Thank you for being a voice and face in the world of True beauty! Love, Kim

Did you write the poem? INCREDIBLE!!! The image is so powerful, and the words behind it are exceptional! Lara, the combination of the two is a delight!

"Three o'clock in the morning
And it looks like it's gonna be another sleepless night" - Crystal Gayle

OK, Its 4am now, but how else could I respond to such a brilliant PAD. Obviously more than just a photographer...
I will try and get some sleep now :-)

Wow, Lara - you put us all together in a fantastic poem . . .and you got that nice little yoga meditative stance going too. This is cool. Looks like you put your sense of artistry & humor to good use! I salute you!
