Am feeling a little nostalgic today. Got all my albums out. Turned my turn table on and listened to my favorite group U2. Although my favorite is The Joshua Tree (not pictured. Don't have it on LP. What's up with that?) I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the "older" U2 tunes. I will follow,... Unforgetable Fire.... and let's not forget the tribute to Elvis: "Bad". And Party Girl. Who remembers Party Girl? :)
I feel old. The album "war was released in '83, "The Unforgetable Fire" a year later.

I decided not to make any alterations to this photo, except for a little crop on top.

Great U2 memories. Have all their music still today but now on CD. Played "New Years Day" on New Years Day 1984. Where has the time gone and where are we going :)

Love U2, however I have lived in a "Sting Free" home for MANY years...Don't know what it is about him, but...NOT my cup of tea!

What great memories. I had it goin' on in the 80's. (I've been staging an unsuccessful comeback ever since.)And the soundtrack to my life was excellent, as I am reminded by this picture.

AHHH remember them well have all the U2 stuff, rememver them from greenbelt before they were famous. I love the red rock album, Joshua tree is prob the best studio album. Nice pic all my LP's are in the loft should pull them out someday.

Argh I can't find my October album. Do I even have it? Mark you got me curious on the side B. What's on it? I'm drawing a blank. Maybe I have it on CD? I'll have to look. no way that I am missing a U2 album. I know I have them all. Weird.

I put my CD of the October album on after seeing your video PAD a while back. That was the album that got me hooked on U2. I'd been hearing Sunday, Bloody Sunday all the time in the dorm. But October, side 2 (I have the LP in NJ) was what got me interested and impressed me with both their lyrics, guitar sound and especially the drums.

Psyco Killer - I had the title on the tip of my tongue, just didn't come out. I used to listen to it with the stereo really cranked up - drove my dad crazy!

oh I'm so jaleous. How cool. I saw them for the first time at "The Joshua Tree" tour while I was in college. Big venue. Seats: All the way in the back. :)

And before that, the October album (with Gloria) - I have them all! My favorite band too (except for the Beatles). They played the War tour at my college... but I'm not feeling old, I'm bragging : ) LOL

Yes Alfred. and "Psycho Killer, qu'est ce que c'est. My fav Talking Heads tune. As for Sting, I hear that the story behind one of his songs is this. He was standing outside with his wife Trudie. He looks up at the sun and says to her: "There is a little black spot on the sun today". Trudie responds: "My King Of Pain" and then ta-da the song is born.

Gosh - theose were my favorite albuns. I still have party girl, 40, etc... from a live concert - great stuff. Unforgettable fire really made them famous, Joshua Tree was a change for them and thereafter. I see sicronicity there also! I love "Spirits in the machine" my favorite lyrics went: " There's a little black spot in the sun today.." - Sting's early early stuff was great. Is that talking heads the one with "burning down the house"? Being a 80's guy I still listen once in a while to that stuff! Great picture - has a lot of meaning to some of us...
