Wave Hill.jpg

Many people have stayed or lived at WaveHill, including Mark Twain and Roosevelt. I took a drive there on Saturday afternoon. The weather was nice enough for New Yorkers to venture out. I took lots of photos of the grounds and the greenhouse that I've posted on my WAVE HILL gallery until the sun hid behind clouds and I ran back into my car. It got so cold all of sudden. I guess it was too good to last longer.

How'd I miss this? Did you just sneak it up? Well, may I be critical? Sure... ;) I think it would work better if you had moved over to that wall on the right and tried to get the house though the canopy thing (whatever it's called) and then had a stronger line running from the right edge to the upper left to the house. In this one the lines don't go anywhere. (If someone were at the end or even the front left, it would have a better point of interest.) And then there's the house outside of the picture. I think my photos can sometimes use this kind of critique, but people don't see it or make it often. What I usually want to know is how I could have shot the same place better, maybe by moving closer or farther, left or right, changing the line parallel to the edge of the frame...whatever.
