Bill, I couldn't agree with you more about the evils of slavery and fascism, and that free speech is a cornerstone of our Constitution. Bless your uncle for his sacrifice.

Well I suppose there are differences. But there is Right and Wrong. Slavery is Wrong. Nazi beliefs are Wrong. My uncle was killed during a bombing mission over Germany. He was fighting the Nazis. I have no problem comparing Nazis with the confederate cause. Both are and were pure evil, and resulted in the death of millions. Free speech is of course the corner stone of the country. But that don’t make it right to support rotten evil beliefs.

Bill, I don't know why you might want to wave a Nazi flag but I'm sure it would elicit differences of opinion. And if your demonstration was peaceful and had the proper permits it would be protected speech under the First Amendment.
