David I saw one of your dogs a man with his daughter at sewer in charleston this weekend and ask for the breeders name he is from Macon or fort valley and gave me your name I have been trying to get thru on your web site but kept getting knocked off please contact me . BW has been a WONDERFUL addition to our household. He is now four months old and you would not believe what all he will do for a treat! He will sit, rollover, laydown, shake, and even lets you place the treat on his nose and waits for you to tell him it's ok to have it. And whenever you talk to him, he will actually talk back! He is completely house trained... needless to say, the smartest baby ever! We are so excited to have him in our family and love him so! Oh, and did I mention? A great fisherdog!!!

I had a wonderful visit today! I can't wait to bring my puppy home....(female) however it's going to be hard b/c they are all beautiful (males & females) Julie is an awesome mother. Thanks for sharing this whole experience with me. See you ALL soon... Marti

Dear David and Faye, In celebration of Abigail's 1-year anniversary with Beau and me, I forced myself to figure out how to send photos to you. Am ashamed that it took me so long! I can't begin to express what an important part of our "family" this sweet little girl is. She is such a loving dog - will actually come to me for "paws around the neck" hugging periodically during the day and stays as close as my shadow at all times while inside. She and Beau vie for the premier spot next to Mom on the bed, and she loses with dignity. And, she's so smart! While it nearly took the entire year to convince her of the importance of pottying OUTSIDE, and she still can't be dissuaded from tormenting Beau, (thus the shock collar) all other training has been a breeze; any failures on her part can be blamed on her lazy mistress. Abby loves to meet people and other dogs and is definitely a bird dog. She has a pretty darn good point, which she didn't learn from me, and at all other times has the happiest tail I've ever seen! I hope that I'll be able to take her through Therapy Dog training; right now it's impossible to leave anxiety-prone Beau alone for the amount of time necessary for the training. I'll be forever thankful that I contacted you last year, and that Abby was just waiting to come home with us. Just thought y'all would want to know....... Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas! I held her and stroked her all the way home except for the times that she would climb up and wrap her little puppy self around the back of my neck. You were right about Zoey being small (Queen & Buster's pup). She is 7-1/2 months and weighs in at 28 lbs and her eyes are still green. She loves to swim! I have to lock her out of the pool area so I can swim. She will dive off the side right onto my back. ~Leslie

The new pups are beautiful!! Just wondering if you forsee Queen and Brodee having another litter together? My dad is interested in a pup like Riley(just turned a year- Queen and Brodee litter) because of her long snout, long legs, ticking.

Hi David, We got Tybee Lane last August from Queenie and Brodee's litter, and today is her first birthday. I just wanted to let you know how much we love and enjoy her. She is a beauty and sweeter than any dog we've ever had. She loves swimming and boating at the lake house in the mountains, and she runs down the driveway every morning and brings up the newspaper. We hope all of her litter mates are doing well. Thanks for such a wonderful addition to our family!

Denise Gibson-Cato Marian, she is an English Springer Spaniel. I searched for months for this particular breed, but the price was too high. She was born at Lanewood Kennels, Fort Valley, Ga (4.5 hours away !!) They were wonderful !!! We got pictures of her growing from 7 days old until the day we got her !! The perfect adoption experience. We stay in touch with them now and I just found one of her sisters on facebook !! She is GREAT with the boys !!

David & Faye, I hope you both are doing well. I got "Riley" from the Queen & Brodee litter in August '09, she is my absolute pride and joy. I really enjoy looking at the new availability pictures you post from time to time. Once my dad retires, he will be visiting to pick out his own. :) I wanted to share a video with you that she starred in for the apartment community where I work at in Buckhead, Atlanta. Hey Denise..Got your Christmas card, Annie has turned out to be a real beauty. I remember 'white tail' very well. Of all the puppies we have raised she is the only one with a solid white tail and I see she still has it. We love seeing our puppies happy and healthy and she is surely in a loving home. Just a quick message to let yall know what a blessing "Tucker " has been to our family!!! He was born on 07/30/07, to the parents of Samantha Maggie Lane and Brodee Cheerokee Huelsman. He looks just like the picture of his dad Brodee. We have always had choc. labs but have fallen in love with the springer. He is the most well mannered dog we have ever had and has the best temperament. Never thought that we would have a dog be such a integral part of our family!! Thanks for the best dog ever!!!!!!! Do you remember little "White Tail?" She was in the January 17, 2009 litter. We brought our two boys down to pick her up on March 20. We named "White Tail" Annie and everyone at the dog park calls her "Miss Congeniality." Both dogs and people LOVE her! My boys still haven't stopped talking about playing with Annie's mother (Sadie) and all of your other dogs the day we came to pick her up. You were so kind to show them around the peach orchard, too. What a perfect day and what a perfect puppy! She's awesome and loves playing in the yard, running along the Chattahoochee river trails and visiting everyone at the dog park. Thanks so much!

Obviously the person referring to your kennel as a puppy mill has no clue. I have followed your website for years admiring the pups produced from your kennel. Having two springers of my own, should I purchase one in the future, it will definitely be from your kennel; amazing quality of springer pups - every litter. Further, I admire the quality of the facility you have constructed for the your dogs.

David and Faye, A little update on Lady Marjorie of the Lanes(Marjie): She is the most wonderful pup. She will be 3 this November. Her parents were Zeke and Lacie. She has enjoyed the best health and brings us much joy. We took in a 6 year old lab mix about a year ago (Maude)and they are the best of friends. They behave beautifully together and are well behaved around guests of all ages in our home. They only ask for lots of head pats and many belly rubs. Springers are wonderful, and you do so much to assure that the puppies you breed are a credit to the breed. My ultimate dream: 50 acres and about 5 more, just like my little Marjie! To the Lanes: I have heard only good things about you and your dogs. I take my dog to the same groomers as you, and the lady who grooms all of them told me ONLY GOOD things about them!!! She said that they were the most loving, gentle, well mannered dogs and would recommend you guys anyday!!! I knew a family who bought a puppy from you and she was the best SS ever! She was so sweet and gentle around toddlers in the house! I know that one day soon, I will come to you to buy a SS!!! I support you in all that you do! I want a SS, and there is no doubt that when I decide to get one I will come to you!!! Thanks for being a great SS home to these babies!!! Krystle

Hey David.....I have read enough about you all being a PUPPY MILL. After seeing my brother and sister in-laws two puppies from you, I just had to have one. They are wonderful with all ages and all animals. You all make sure they get medical care and you all socialize them well. My Vinnie is the most loving dog I have ever had. He is also very smart and will do anything to please me. He is the best dog I have ever had. When I came to pick up Vinnie I couldn't believe how well mannered your Adult dogs were. You could see how much attention and love you all give them. If the guest thinks you are a PUPPY MILL, maybe he or she should come to your kennels and see what it is really like. {Clean, big, air conditioned}. I am so glad you all are breeding the English Springer Spaniel, you are keeping the breed pure. I would recommend your Kennel to everyone. I will be buying another puppy from you all in the future and it is well worth the 12 hour drive knowing I am getting the Best of the English Springer Spaniel. Annette and Vinnie {WOOF WOOF}

Hi, Faye, Just a brief comment of my own.....we have "rescued" Springers in the past, one of which came to us by way of a "puppy mill" to a pet shop to a home that didn't work out, to the local shelter, all before she was 6 months old. She was a loving, beautiful dog, but came with numerous issues due to the non-ethical "puppy mill" from whence she came. I know a "puppy mill" when I see one. When we came to pick up Bella, we toured your kennel, met all of your dogs, saw the vast play areas. We were very impressed with everything about Lanewood Kennel, especially the love and care you give to all of your dogs, including the newborn puppies. We have and will continue to recommend you to anyone looking for an English Springer Spaniel.

How many male and female dogs do you have? That is why you were referred to as a puppy mill. You are constantly churning out puppies.

I noticed the "guest" comment referenced the term puppy mill. We agree and have heard horror stories about puppy mills, that is why we raise only Springers and our puppies are socialized with our grandchildren in our back yard. For those who dont want a specific breed, the rescue center is a excellent place to find a puppy and a good cause for helping homeless pups find caring homes. David and Faye

Hey David, Hope it's not too hot down at the orchard. I heard an ad on the radio this morning in regards to Lane Southern Orchards and the produce being sold at Kroger. I couldn't figure out if you we in the radio ad or not. Anyway, I took this pic a few minutes ago and wanted to show you how Komet is growing. He is developing more and more ticks on his belly and legs AND is almost fully house broken. He is a very smart dog! I'll continue to share pix as he grows. Phillip Walker

I am at my south west fla home, and will be at my Thomaston ga home March 5 for the month march..Would like to see pups if you have any available when I arrive..Have had english spring spaniels in the past...use to get them from a bredder in wetumpka al years ago, but can't locate her..please let me know..thanks carey greene
