Vaucluse is a desirable Sydney suburb on a peninsula on the south side of the harbour. The pointy bit at the north end is part of Sydney Harbour National Park, with a beach, restaurant, fish-and-chip shop, enormous fig trees, historic buildings, great views, and a full carpark. There is a walking track on the west side of the peninsula, the Hermitage Foreshore Walk, and street parking can be found allowing access. The track includes two small harbour beaches, the grounds of Strickland House, some bushland, and allows more great views of the harbour.
