Having eased myself fairly painlessly from the joys of a fulfilling job to the joys of retirement, I feel obliged to document at least the first week or so following this transition. I don't have a job any more, but I have a wife, a car, a camera, a computer, a home and some money. These are the essentials for happy retirement. So in our first week, we drove north to Morpeth, found my ancestors' tombstone, explored the Hunter River wine country without buying any wine, drove further north to attend a wonderful music festival at Bangalow, and on the return trip managed to enjoy the spectacle of massive roadworks along the Pacific Highway. About 1900 Km. Pictures in chronological order.
