Hill End: Trip by Polestar

Hill End was a prosperous gold-mining town in the 1870s and has never quite died. Just one hotel left of the
original eighteen. Worth a good look, even if just via Google Earth. A day there and a day back by electric car
doesn't count as a serious expedition, but there was plenty to enjoy and photograph and it gave the Polestar a
workout. Recommend the Hill End Lodge Motel for a comfortable stay with good food and photographable wildlife.
